💡 Niels Henrik David Bohr was born in Copenhagen on 7 October 1885 and grew up to become a Danish theoretical physicist who transformed the understanding of atomic structure and quantum theory. Awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922, he developed the Bohr model, proposing that electrons occupy discrete energy levels and can jump between them, and he later introduced the principle of complementarity.
