💡 On 31 May 1380, Jogaila, the Grand Duke of Lithuania, secretly signed the Treaty of Dovydiškės with Winrich von Kniprode, Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights. Aimed against Jogaila's own uncle, Kęstutis, the secret pact helped spark the Lithuanian Civil War of 1381 to 1384.
