💡 On 7 October 2008, the Milad Tower opened in Tehran, Iran, between the districts of Shahrak-e Gharb and Gisha, after about 11 years and 7 months of construction. Standing 435 metres tall, it became the tallest tower in Iran, the sixth-tallest tower in the world, and the first telecommunication tower ranked by the usable floor area of its top structure.
