Show the answer
United States
💡 The White House has served as the residence of every president of the United States since John Adams took up residence there in 1800, when the national capital relocated from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. Designed by the Irish-born architect James Hoban in the Neoclassical style, it stands 21 metres tall at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW and also gives its name to the Executive Office of the President. Hoban based his design on Leinster House in Dublin, seat of the Irish legislature, the Oireachtas.
